Interview with Manoj Sethy

Today on Biblio Cafeteria we have Manoj Sethy, a budding author with his book A Dirty World.


1) When did your journey as an author begin?
In my high school, I usually wrote for plays, from that time I love to write, and also discover new stories, but officially I started in 2014 with a book.


2)     What was your inspiration for "A Dirty World”?


3)     Who were your first readers?

Ans: - My parents were my first readers.

4)    Do you ever have Writer's block? If yes, how do you cope with it?

Ans: - Yes, I have gone much time with writer's block, I simply took out the print out of my script, read and re-read it then if I found hints, I started again, if not then I simply stop writing for some days.

5)     Where do you normally write? On electronic media or a personal notebook?

Ans: - I normally write on electronic media.

6)     What do you want to share about your novel A Dirty World?

Ans: - "A DIRTY WORLD", it's not fantasy stories or it's not like heavenly created love stories, it lies on real fact of today's working women's who are very important to us. They have the rights for good treatment, because for them we came out in this world.

7)     What do you do apart from writing?

Ans: - I am management student, so it’s pretty much hard to do anything apart doing these two things, “WRITING & STUDIES”.

8)     Share your hobbies.

Ans: -  Reading more and more books, and also I am a movie buff, , exploring new destinations is also on the list.

9)     How did your family react to your novel?

Ans: - This is the hard one because they are not supporting me on this, but perhaps they feel proud of me.

10)  10 years from now, where do you see yourself?

Ans: - As our ex-president, Dr. A.P.J ABDUL KALAM says, "keep dreaming". So I have also many dreams in my life. But 10 years from now, I want to see myself, becoming a best-seller author, and running a publishing house and also a school for underprivileged children.
